Sparkill St Peters and St Pauls Malanakara Orthodox Church

 

In June of 1985, Malayalam Service was conducted at United Methodist Church at Congers – it was the beginning of the first ever Malayalee Christian congregation in Rockland county, which moved to Sparkill Christ Episcopal Church in September of 1985. On November 3, 1985, The St. Peter's and St Paul's Church was officially inaugurated at a function attended by many religious and political dignitaries. Since then, this institution continued to be a beacon of spiritual guidance for a whole group of first generation Malayalee American youths to help them traverse the dynamic subculture shaped by the confluence of strong American, Indian and Malayalee cultures.

MEMBERSHIP





Membership is open to all believers of Malankara Orthodox Church as per the stipulations of the constitution and the directives from the NE America Diocese.

Membership is not a requirement to attend the church services.

We would be very happy and grateful if people of our faith join us to celebrate the Holy Eucharist with us. We cordially invite you to join us.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

 

Sunday School is conducted every Sunday from 2:30 pm - 3:30 PM after lunch. All classes from Pre-K to 12 are available. Qualified teachers are available to provide instruction based on the Sunday School carriculam approved by the Sunday School Association of the East.

Samajam meets every Sunday at 2:00 PM before the lunch.
